Other companies that want your creative talent

As we’ve only recently opened the Freelance Fellowship to the public we want to make sure that it’s a positive platform for freelancers and not another race-to-bottom auction site where you battle with dozens of other creative freelancers to offer your services at the lowest rate.
As such, we don’t open your details up directly to clients, we pay standard fees, so you can’t be undercut by someone cheaper if you’re the best person for the job, and we want to personally understand your work and what you want to achieve with it.
We hope we’ll be able to help you find meaningful work here at the Freelance Fellowship, but as we’re not a marketplace site it could take a while for us to find the right project to work with you on. If you’re looking for something more immediate, there are plenty of other websites out there you could also be registered on, and many of you already will be.
One of the best things about being freelance is that you don’t have to limit yourself to one source of work and income and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We don’t work the same way as most of these websites – we benefit from finding the best freelancers, not the most freelancers – so we want to help you all on and off our platform.
Inevitably some of these sites are better than others from a freelance perspective and we’d love to hear about your experiences with them (and any others we’ve missed) – what they are getting wrong and what they are getting right – to help us make sure we offer a service you truly value and so that we can share that experience with the rest of the community.
